Twelve Magazine

The purpose of this project was to create an editorial magazine that focused on a specific theme and had three different editorial spreads, one typography based, one photography based and one illustrative based. The theme I chose was music but I wanted to design a magazine that was unique in some way. Twelve is an indie music and art culture magazine for the music enthusiast who still buys albums, and is nostalgic of what music use to be. The concept behind Twelve was to create a music magazine for indie music lovers and vinyl collectors. The dimensions of the magazine are 12″ x 12″ to mimic the look of a 12″ vinyl record. The idea was that vinyl lovers could pick up Twelve at their local record store/specialty music store and after reading it, add it to their vinyl collection, whether it be stacked on a shelf with the rest of their records, on in a frame on their wall. Twelve comes in both print and digital versions.
